Our Story

My mother and father fled the Vietnam War in search of safety and the chance to build a better life for our family. Like many immigrant families starting over in a new country, they arrived with very little and faced countless challenges along the way. Through hard work, perseverance, and sacrifice, they slowly began building a new life here in Regina.

Through all those years, one thing remained constant: the kindness and support of the Regina community. This city welcomed our family, gave us a place to put down roots, and eventually became the place we proudly call home.

In the 1990s, there were very few Vietnamese restaurants in Regina. I saw an opportunity to share something deeply personal to my parents - the food and culture they had brought with them from Vietnam.

In 1996, Little Saigon Restaurant was born.

What began as a small family restaurant became our way of sharing a piece of our heritage with the people of Regina. Through the dishes we prepare, we have been able to introduce generations of customers to the flavours and traditions that remind our family of where we came from.

Thirty years later, we're still here.

Little Saigon represents more than food to our family. It represents the sacrifices my parents made, the opportunities they found in Canada, and the community that gave them a chance to build something of their own.

From our family's journey to your family's table, we are incredibly grateful to have called Regina home for all these years.
